MIA

I have been MIA from the Blog world because I have just been having so much fun traveling and playing this Summer! Since I know you are on the edge of your seat wondering what I have been up to. Ask and you shall receive, here is a recap of my AMAZING July!

First my cousins came to visit us in Charleston. We celebrated the 4th and being in Charleston!!!

Jeffrey and I then packed our bags and traveled to Georgia where we spent a few days with family before our flight to TEXAS!

During out travels, Jeffrey and I learned a lot about culture, people, and life while in Texas (good and bad haha...), but we had a blast together as always!!! We went through Houston (why is it so hot there?) and San Antonio (which is so cool, if you haven't been, GO!) before we finished our tour in AMAZING Austin! Can you tell I loved Austin? Jeffrey is the best tour guide and funniest traveling buddy by the way!

While in Austin, I was able to spend time with my best friend. We have been BFFL since the age of seven. WE HAD SUCH A BLAST! I cannot even put into words how much fun we had.

Okay, okay here is one more picture of my bestie and I! We are so cute!!! I love us.

After Texas, we stopped in Georgia for a day before we drove to Virginia for a few days to spend time with Jeffrey's extended family. I always loving spending time with them! On our last day in Virginia, Jeffrey and I celebrated 6 years of marriage!!! WHOOOOO, go us!

After four weeks of traveling, adventures, and fun I am back in Charleston (poor Jeffrey is in Kansas for work-- I swear he doesn't sleep!). While Superman is off working, I am off to unpack, sleep, recuperate, and love on my sweet puppy!

Where are you traveling this Summer?

What's the Deal with the "Pink Drink"?

Unless you have been living under a rock, you have heard of the "pink drink" or Plexus. If not, then get out from under your rock and prepare to be informed. I have been seeing my facebook feed flooded with this curious pink drink and I was intrigued. I was so excited when my good friend from high school approached me about Plexus. In exchange for a month free of the "pink drink", I would write an honest Blog post about my experience. I was in and so excited to see what all the hype was about.

Before putting anything in my body, I hit google and started my research. Plexus is all-natural, plant based, non-GMO, gluten free, and vegan! Those are all of my favorite things so that appealed to me. The further I researched, I was seeing amazing results and positive testimonials. I even read one article where a doctor was prescribing and even using Plexus products! I decided I needed to try this product.

Here are my results

Week 1: I mixed the "pink drink" in my breakfast smoothies. My energy level went way up! I am usually the energizer bunny so I was on overload. Y'all, I was an insomniac without the tired crash. My runs were longer and I was getting so much done! I really noticed a huge increase in energy. Only issue for me was, I already have a lot of energy so even though I was not tired, I was not sleeping. While using the drink you drink a lot of water which is so great! I noticed that I peed every 30 minutes.

Week 2: I began noticing that I was trimming up a little. Even my husband noticed. I wasn't losing weight (I am a healthy weight though and don't need to loose anything). My energy was still increased and I was bouncing off the walls. Still not sleeping. Still peeing every 30-45 minutes.

Week 3: I decided to do the "pink drink every other day to see if that helps me sleep more. It worked. My sleep patterns are much better. I have energy, but I am now sleeping. This proves that everyone is different. I am not peeing as much and I find myself craving water! I have a minimal appetite as well.

Week 4: I am still doing the "pink drink" in my smoothie for breakfast every other day. I feel great. I notice my body is toned, I have a decreased appetite, and I am drinking a ton of water which is not like me at all. I also looked amazing in my bridesmaid dress if I do say so myself!

RESULTS?
Know your body! The "pink drink worked great for me and I did see amazing results. I did need to cut back a little because my body doesn't have decreased energy. If you are someone who wants to loose a few pounds, decrease appetite, and increase energy, I highly recommend this product. I really did feel great using this and I felt proud of my water and food choices. Once I regulated the product to fit my personal needs, it was wonderful. Knowing your body and realizing what you need is huge when trying these types of products.

SHOULD YOU TRY PLEXUS?
Why not? What do you have to loose? Once you get past the initial peeing every 30 minutes the results are life changing. Why live in a fog? Try the "pink drink" and see if it works, if not that's okay... at least you will know if it works or not. Hey, if it does work for you, if you don't try it, you would never know!

INTERESTED?
Check out these links if you are curious and want to know more!

Through my entire trial,  I emailed, messaged, and annoyed my sweet friend Tiffany with questions. She was wonderful and so patient while helping me and answering questions. If you want a great resource and passionate person to help you click here to contact Tiffany!

Lastly, here are some videos to check out! If you're anything like me, you have questions and are curious and want to research the heck out of Plexus. I don't blame you!!! So do it! Go research, watch the videos, click the links, and read other people testimonials.

I hope this was informational and made the "oh, I want to know more" wheels in your brain turn. If not, then thanks for making it this far! I am going to grab my yummy "pink drink" now...cheers!

SIL's Weding

My sister in law was married this past weekend in Savannah, Georgia. Thank the Lord above her wedding was inside because it was H-O-T! Minus the smoldering weather, her wedding was gorgeous. We had a blast.

I loved sharing in her special day. Jeffrey and I have been together for ten years so although I am not blood related, his family has always made me feel like one of their own.

His cousins are my cousins and his aunts and uncles are some of my absolute favorite people. I do not have grandparents on this Earth so his grandma has gladly taken their place while they are in heaven.

I am very blessed. Spending time together is always a blast and the best part was that my parents and brother were there too! Congratulations Jessica and Andy, it was a perfect day, here are to many more perfect days in your future!

Friday Five... The BEST needs for this Summer!

The BEST needs for this Summer!

1. Tory Burch Sandals: If you have been following my Blog then you know I have been obsessed with these for a long time. They are so classic. I would love a pair of these for Summer!

I still have my eye on these beauties.

 2. Serena and Lily Turkish Beach Towel: A coworker got one of these as her end of the year gift. I loved it so much, I decided to use one of my gift cards to purchase it for my days by the pool! I am SO excited for it to arrive. You can purchase your own here.
They are 20% off with the code: HEREWEGO
I just purchased this for Summer and I cannot wait to get it!

3. Blue Lizard Sun Screen: I am fair skinned so sun screen is a MUST for me. I love this brand. Not only is it all natural but it protects my skin and doesn't leave an oily residue behind.

Best all-natural sun screen.

4. Longchamp Bag and any Pom-Pom Tote: I recently purchased this Longchamp bag for my trips ahead. I do not want my leather fossil purse traveling and getting wet because that will ruin the leather. I decided a waterproof bag was a necessity to carry through airports, Texas, and rainy Ireland. Although the pom-pom tote is not a necessity, it is so cute! I love anything with pom-poms. One of my goals this Summer is to make a DIY pom-pom tote attachment.
I just purchased this waterproof bag for my trips ahead!

I have grand plans of making a DIY pom pom attachment!

5. Jergen's Natural Glow Self Tanner: I use this all Summer long to help smooth tan lines and give my skin an even Summer glow. I apply this every night before I go to bed. I have been using this brand for years. There is no streaking, it doesn't bleed onto everything you touch, and it doesn't turn your skin orange. It is magical.
I LOVE THIS MAGICAL STUFF

What are your Summer must haves?

UGLY CRY

Last week, I ugly cried. Full on sobbing, convulsing ugly cry. It was humbling and amazing all at the same time. I have been an emotional basket case. I wrapped up my fifth year teaching, I am preparing for my sixth year and second year at the best school in the Southeast, Jeffrey missed his flight for the first time since he started his new job, and I am loving life on the island and the new friends God has gifted me with. I was feeling ALL THE FEELS. I was so full of joy and love that I sat in my car alone and cried. At one point I even yelled, "I AM SO EMOTIONAL!". Now, that's a good cry and hysterical all at the same time.

Sometimes all you need is a good, thank you Lord for this life cry. After my ugly cry scene was over I felt rejuvenated. All I have to say is, it's okay to cry and sometimes you need a good, ugly cry. So grab your box of tissues, and let it all out.

Password Drama

This past week, Jeffrey and I needed to log into old accounts. Sure, it will be easy, whatever, no big deal. Then, the screen popped up a box that said: "WRONG PASSWORD, TRY AGAIN! What, are you kidding? We tried a million and one passwords and nothing. I was screaming at my past self for choosing such a silly password.

After none of my known passwords worked, I decided to try answering the security questions. The screen popped up:

1. What was the first beach you visited?

2. What is your favorite band?

Okay, whoever created these security questions clearly has never had a changing opinion. Where are the questions like what's your mother's maiden name...that never changes! How on earth and I supposed to know what 16 year old me thought the first beach I visited was? I mean come on! I live near three beaches and I named every beach in Florida... nothing! At this point I am hysterically laughing and screaming at my computer screen like a mental patient. I don't know the first beach I visited and I have named every 90's boy band possible.

While we're keeping score: 100 computer, 0 Kelsey! So, the computer won and I had to reset my password. I went through all the steps and answered all the questions. When I went to enter a new password, in bold red words my computer reads, "password cannot be the same one previously used in the last year". Wait, you mean that was it! WHAT!?!?!  Are you kidding me computer. One hour later, I entered my new password that I will never remember and went on my way.

After all of my madness, all I have to say is...

Dear cyber world,
"NO, I do not want to create a new password. Just tell me my old one. I don't want to use one capital and one lowercase letter and I don't want to use a symbol that I will never remember. Lastly, your security questions are ridiculous, my favorite color changes daily!"
Love,
Your irritated user, Kelsey

Friday Five: First Grade Fun

This Friday Five is special to me. I just finished my 6th year teaching first grade and my 1st year in Christian Education.

This past year has been amazing. I have grown so much in my faith and teaching ability. Here are my favorite clips from this year! I mean look how cute these precious babies are.

This is from the first day of school!
Meet me at the Pole. The sweetest prayers were said on this day
My girls made me a poster during indoor recess.

Mr. Jeffrey loved visiting my classroom.

My firsties love "fluffy stuffy" day!

I am so excited for Summer, but I will miss worshiping, praying, and learning with these sweet children. It has been a joy to watch them grow in 2nd graders. I am thrilled to see them next year and have a new group of firsties.
